designer submissions

If you are interested in selling your products on Modamuse and are a designer based in Australia or New Zealand we would love to hear from you! We are always looking for new talent and accept items that demonstrate a fresh modern outlook and are well crafted and handmade.

At the moment we are only offering items on consignment, but as we grow we hope to be able to purchase wholesale in the future. To find out more please read about the Supplier Terms below.

Supplier Terms

As we are a boutique outlet, we prefer that items be one-of-a-kind or in limited quantities and sizes to maintain a sense of uniqueness. We support independent designers who are starting out as well as more established ones.

To be involved as a supplier, we would like at least 5 unique items from you initially. Once an item is sold we will ask for more products.

One benefit from selling through Modamuse is that our customers are able to browse and purchase several items at once from different designers by shopping cart, therefore tapping into a different market. We have customers from all around the world and have a growing number of subscribers to our newsletter and design blog.

Selling by consignment is also a great way for a new or established designer to test the market, without the cost and hassle of setting up web hosting, shopping cart and customer payments and shipping since all purchases are made through our site. All postage and packaging expenses to customers will be arranged and paid for by Modamuse. Photos of all your items will be taken by us to be featured on the website. We also actively promote the site using many avenues such as undertaking SEO, online advertising, google ads and press mentions.

The prices of your items are set by you and you only need to provide us a small number of items to see what sells. This means that we will hold the items and once the piece is sold, the commission is 60% to artist and 40% to Modamuse (based on your RRP) to be paid by the 15th of each month. You can either have the money directly deposited into your bank account or by Paypal.

As a featured designer in the shop, you will be able to display your company logo (if you have one) and your profile.

How to Submit

Please submit your work by emailing us at designer[at]modamuse.com with digital photos or a catalogue of your work along with a price guide. (Note: We will only get in contact with successful submissions. Please understand that not all products may be suitable for sale through Modamuse. Please email us if you have any questions regarding your submission.)
